Can’t Eat it? Don’t Use it!
By Natural OrganicsI recently came across a blog that discussed how it’s important to wash your hands after applying lotions, creams or any type of beauty product. Hand washing was needed, it said, especially before you eat because when you do eat, you may be eating the product! While this is a good point, it made me think. If you don’t want to eat the product you just rubbed into your face or arm, you shouldn’t be putting it on your body either! The skin absorbs everything you put onto it, so what is the difference if you accidentally ingest some of your face cream? People seem to think there’s a difference between what you eat and what you put on your skin. There is none at all. That’s why my motto is, if I can’t eat it, I don’t put it on my skin.
