Can You Afford Not to Go Organic?

Going organic is not only good for you, it’s good for the planet.

When I tell people I live an organic lifestyle, I usually get the same response, “Oh, I can’t afford it.” But when you think about the question, “Can you afford to go organic?” it leads you to the question, “Can you afford not to?” Believe me, I feel your pain. I’m a teacher trying to live organically. I had to make a choice and it was made for me when I read Kevin Trudeau’s Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About. This book changed my life. I had already started going organic slowly (that’s the way to go.) But when I read this important book, I went the rest of the way.

Going organic with my diet was a bit easier for me than going organic with my beauty products. I had used some of the products for years, trusted them, and some were pretty affordable too. Now I know why they were so affordable.

Companies use the cheapest ingredients they can find to maximize profit, not caring about the toxins and poisons we ingest into our bloodstream, causing disease.

That is why you can find a way now to pay a little more for organics. Why pay even more later in doctor’s bills and health problems?

There have been many studies done over the years testing the long term use of commercial beauty products. Artificial ingredients like parabens, lead, talc, and aluminum are being found in diseased organs and tissue. How scary is this? So….pay now….or pay later? Of course, the choice is yours. But how do you decide what to do first on your sojourn into the organic living? I am here to help because I have been through it too. Stay tuned for my next post where I will delve more deeply into going organic and the steps you can take to make it gradual (and not bank-breaking.)

Stay natural…stay beautiful…go green!

Hi Robin, I get the same response all the time, “Oh, I can’t afford organic,” and usually followed with rolling of the eyes and a huff. I ususally say something like, “I used to feel the same way, until I realized I can’t afford NOT to buy organic.” I lost my sister to cancer when she was ony 54 to carcinoma, 2 years earlier my father and then my mother passed on. All of their causes of death could have been prevented by a healthy lifestyle and choices. I promote eating healthy in my business, (nutritionist) but I also hold talks on how to transition over to a healthier lifestyle which includes personal care items and the water. Actually, the water filters comes up almost first thing. Just wanted to say, I’m with you! Keep teaching people about their skin and the toxins they expose themselves daily with their choices….healthy blessings, Cindylee

Thank you so much for your comment and blessings. I can identify with you as my father, mother, and aunt all passed away from cancer as well. We must start realizing that as cancer rates skyrocket (and are higher than ever before) what is the cause? Environmental, food, and personal care products are to blame. I am thrilled to be bringing my message of organic life to the world. Blessings and joy right back to you, Cindylee. -Robin

    Nice article!

It amazes me how little thought an overwhelming majority of people put into what goes in their body. There a tons of benefits to a healthy diet, from overall health to skin care, to your hair and nails, eyes, aging etc….its amazing.

Just drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day and cutting out soda/sugary drinks makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the information, and making others aware!
