Help the earth, help yourself

Today is Earth Day and it really makes me think of all the ways I try to help the earth. A few things I do is use green cleaning products (that avoids putting harmful chemicals back into the ground), use refillable water bottles instead of plastic, recycling everything I can, use cloth bags for shopping, drive a hybrid (I love my Prius!) and eat organic food (organic farming avoids putting pesticides into the earth, using natural methods instead.)
Another thing I do to go green is use natural and organic beauty and skin care products. In turn I am not only helping the environment by using chemical-free products, I am also helping myself by not putting those chemicals into my system.
So on this Earth Day let’s take a moment to think about all the things we do to help the earth. I would love to know what you’ve done to go green or what natural beauty products you use. Feel free to leave me a comment.
Can You Afford Not to Go Organic?

Going organic is not only good for you, it’s good for the planet.
When I tell people I live an organic lifestyle, I usually get the same response, “Oh, I can’t afford it.” But when you think about the question, “Can you afford to go organic?” it leads you to the question, “Can you afford not to?” Believe me, I feel your pain. I’m a teacher trying to live organically. I had to make a choice and it was made for me when I read Kevin Trudeau’s Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About. This book changed my life. I had already started going organic slowly (that’s the way to go.) But when I read this important book, I went the rest of the way.

A Birthday Wish

It’s my birthday today and I just wanted to put up a short post. I am also celebrating the last day of school too! (I am a teacher in my other life…lol.)
My birthday wish is to reach more and more women (and men too, for that matter) learn about the toxic ingredients in their daily personal care products. It’s my mission to help people make better beauty choices and learn how toxins and disease can be avoided.
