Discover No Miss Healthy Cosmetics

If you’re looking for one of the safest cosmetics brands, look no further! No Miss Healthy Alternative Cosmetics combines glamour and green in their amazing products. I had the chance to review 4 products from their cosmetics line. I get to share my honest thoughts with you and at the same time, you get a chance to win the very same products I used!

Before we get into the nitty gritty, let me tell you, this summer has been a bit of a weird one for me. For 80% of the summer, I’ve gone without makeup. {Gasp!} It might be the heat…you put makeup on, go outside and it proceeds to melt. Plus, I’ve been working at home most of the time, so there’s really no need to get made up every day.

That being said, I love beauty and glamour and when I threw out my MAC eye shadows years ago, it really hurt. I never thought I would find a safe, nontoxic cosmetics line that would give me the same intense, rich colors MAC did. This all changed when I discovered No Miss Cosmetics by chance, in my local health food store.

When I saw the incredible array of eye shadow colors, I think I started drooling. These aren’t your mama’s colors. They are bright, shimmery, and sparkling. They come in 18 fabulous colors and are in a nice sized pot (not a little mini pot like some mineral eye shadows.)

I know color is important, but ingredients matter more!

All of No Miss’s cosmetics are formulated without toxic chemicals, preservatives, or solvents. I always say, when the ingredients are simple, the product has the potential to be spectacular and No Miss doesn’t miss with this one! Here’s the ingredients for the eye shadow:

iron oxides, silica, mica

That’s it! K.I.S.S. (Keep it Simple, Sweetie!)

The color I tested is called Tallahassee Tan. It’s a shimmery, almost peachy tan that has a gorgeous summer color!

Tallahassee Tan on my lids!

[A fun fact about No Miss: They are Florida based (actually down the road from where I live) so many of their products are named after a Florida city. Isn't that neat?]

In addition to eye shadows, No Miss also is unique in that they make only liquid eye liners. You may be saying, “Ok, that is soooo passe’!” But they really pull it off once again by using nontoxic ingredients and a spectacular array of colors. I used a beautiful color called Sabastian Sky, a lovely metallic light blue shade (see below.) I did have some challenges applying it. I’m not used to liquid liners…but I wanted to try it as many of my pencil eye liners disappear by 3pm. One of the benefits of liquid liners is they’re long lasting. I accidentally got some in my eye and it was not comfortable. Please apply carefully when using! Some of the 12 assorted eye liner colors are very unique, such as Gold Coast Gold, a lovely dark gold color and Marathon Mulberry,a funky pink shade.

cosmetics brands

Tallahassee Tan shadow, Sabastian Sky liner, & Ferndale Fawn lip gloss

Some of the ingredients in the eye liners include:

cocoa butter

shea butter

jojoba Oil

argan oil

Next up is mascara. I’ve searched high and low for a natural mascara that doesn’t raccoon me by 12:00 pm. This one is it! I love how it’s in a compact tube and the wand is compact also, making it very easy to apply. The mascaras come in 4 shades: black, brown, bright blue, and purple. You can really create a fun look with No Miss! Here are some of the mascara details:

Enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe

Color made from the Earth

Polymer Free – Talc Free – Lacquer Free

Fragrance Free

No animal testing

Lastly, my favorite: lip gloss, which comes in 12 truly luscious shades. It was SO hard to choose one to test. My tastes run to more neutral shades, so I selected Ferndale Fawn, a shimmery beige which actually sort of matches the Tallahassee Tan eyeshadow. The lip gloss is moisturizing and the colors are rich. The ingredients are superb and include coconut oil, jojoba oil, and grapeseed oil.

Kiss, kiss!

[By the way, No Miss has matching eyeshadow, lip, and nail colors if you like to coordinate! ]

No Miss also makes toxin- free nail polish (150 shades-which I have tried and are wonderful!) and other nail products, eye make up remover, and body lotion.

Honestly, No Miss really lives up to their name!

Now that I have you excited about how awesome No Miss is, it’s time to get even more excited. No Miss is giving to one lucky reader all the 4 products I reviewed:

Eyeshadow, Eye Liner, Mascara, and Lip Gloss

You will be able to create an unbelievable look all your own with No Miss Alternative Cosmetics because you get to choose the colors too!

All you need to do is follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter widget below and cross your fingers.

Good luck, my lovelies!

Stay natural…stay beautiful…go green!

    Hi Marissa,

I love that No Miss makes more than just brown and black mascara…I so want to try the blue! Good luck! :)

  • http://www.toxicbeautyblog.com Natural Organics

    Hi Kathleen,
I know! The colors stay true as well..sometimes the colors look so great in the pot then when you put them on, they’re not as intense…but their colors truly are intense and I learned a little trick from Karim Orange to make the eyeshadow pop even more: after you apply eyeshadow primer, dip a brush in a little castor oil. Apply this to lids, then apply your shadow. You wouldn’t believe how this makes your eyeshadow stick and shimmer! She used this technique in the day to evening makeup look I posted recently.
Wishing you mush luck in the giveaway!

Wooh……the swatches are so pretty for Tallahassee Tan Sabastian Sky liner, & Ferndale Fawn. I love them all. Ingredients are pretty important to me. If I had to choose between wholesome ingredients and packaging, I think I will go with the former. I’m really excited by the color pay off of No Miss. Absolutely gorgeous!

  • http://healthynaturalbeautylv.blogspot.com Jamie T.

Plantation Plum is amazing and would love to try the mascara!

  • http://www.lesliesbookstore.com Leslie LeBlanc

I think the the Taquesta Topaz and Cassadaga Cinnamon eye shadow look awesome. So does the Plantation Plum lip gloss

  • Bernice

The colours look indeed very nice and bright! Though I think I would only be using less prominent ones, like Crystal River Cranberry eyeshadow (for example, Marathon Mulberry would be too extreme for me I think :P)
I’ve just started using green products, I purchased some from the Body Shop

  • http://www.toxicbeautyblog.com Natural Organics

    Hi Bernice,

I agree with you…some of the colors are a bit too intense for some people, so I think it’s awesome that No Miss also makes classic, understated shades too. I am so glad you started to use safer beauty products…you will really love their performance!
