Real Purity Holistic Deodorant Review

Real Purity

Me and my favorite deodorant- Real Purity Holistic Formula!

If you’re a regular here (hope you are!) you may be wondering why I’m writing about Real Purity Holistic Deodorant again….well here’s why: I am passionate about this product and I want to get those feelings across to other people so they can become passionate too.

Also, I know how many people have problems with finding a natural, but effective deodorant and I want to help solve their problems. That being said, today I am doing an in depth review with the good, the bad, and the ugly (if any) on Real Purity Deodorant.

I’ve also filmed a video, so please take a few minutes (it’s only 2 minutes) to check it out. Watch it here or on YouTube

To Smell or Not to Smell?

The one thing most people want out of their deodorant is to not smell. For years, I struggled with one deodorant after another. This was before I went organic. I used to get horrible boils and irritations under my arms from using Dove, Secret, or any of the other drug store brands. Little did I know I was also exposing myself to toxic aluminum and parabens!

Should We Sweat?

Another thing most of us people is to not sweat. I’ve come to terms with this one as I now realize we need to sweat to shed toxins….so if I sweat a bit under my arms it doesn’t bother me, as long as it doesn’t smell! Natural deodorants let your body sweat so if you’re looking for a natural deodorant in order to stay dry, this just won’t work.

Also, if you go straight from a toxic commercial deodorant to a natural one, it probably won’t work because your body needs to detox first. BO is a symptom of toxins in the body, as my Facebook friend Anna of Miss Eco Glam pointed out. If I had known this before, I would have saved a lot of money!

So one day, I was browsing online and found Real Purity’s deodorant. I thought, why not? So I ordered it. I had been through one natural deodorant after another and one embarrassing moment after another when people told me I stunk.

After one day of using the RP, I was hooked.

Here’s some of the positive points of Real Purity’s deodorant:

  • 100% natural, pure ingredients
  • Safe and effective
  • Formulated by a naturopathic physician
  • Affordable
  • Made by a small, family owned company (LOVE supporting small business)
  • Ingredients benefit the whole body, not just your underarms
  • Lasts throughout the day

Real Purity Can Stand the HEAT

I live in South Florida and I’m a teacher, so I have to be outside with the kids quite a lot. It brings me great peace of mind to know I can do this and not have to worry about smelling bad halfway through the day!

Now in an honest review you’re supposed to give the negatives too, so you can get the whole picture and I plan on doing that here as well.

Here’s a few down points about the deodorant:

  • It comes in a liquid roll on, so when it gets down to the last bit, it’s very hard to get out.

I’ve found a solution for this. All I do is shake the bottle upside down vigorously and squeeze. Then the liquid comes out. Believe me, I do this, because I like to squeeze every last bit out before I throw it away!

Here’s another negative: it might not work for you. Shocker, right? This is because every person has a different body chemistry. What may work wonders for me may work like crap for you. Does this mean you shouldn’t try it? No, I don’t believe so…..this deodorant may be the life saver for you as it was for me.

So if you’re one of the people who’s gone from deodorant to deodorant and are frustrated, Real Purity is the one to try. I have a very strong body chemistry and if it works for me, I strongly believe it will work for you.

Now is a great time to give it a try, as Real Purity will give you $5 off your order if you sign up for their newsletter. Another thing you’ll enjoy when you order from RP is they always give you samples! Who doesn’t love free samples?

I hope you enjoyed this Real Purity Holistic Deodorant Review and I hope you know that I would never recommend a product that I don’t stand by 100%. And that’s how I feel about this one.

Stay natural…stay beautiful…go green!

    Hi Robin,

Does it mean if I want to get rid of aluminum laden anti-perspirant deodorant, i need to detox my pits before starting on a natural deodorant? That means go about my day without any deodorant at all?

I bought Real Purity deodorant and started using it after a shower. Is that the right thing to do – go straight to natural (Real Purity deodorant) although I do feel that left over of the toxin anti-perspirant on my pits.

    Hello Dawn,

First off, I am SO glad you made the switch to Real Purity. How is it working for you? I think it’s ok that you went straight to the natural deo.

I’ve read that if you still suffer from BO after switching to a natural deodorant, the most likely culprit is a toxic liver. I know it’s kind of hard to believe the “pits” and the liver are related, but most bodily functions are complimentary!

If I were you, I’d do some sort of liver cleanse…I personally do a weekly coffee enema (I know it may sound gross) but the effects far outweigh the grossness. Doing a coffee enema in turn purifies the liver of toxins, which is what you need to do. There are other ways to detox the liver, but this one is very easy and pretty affordable. I am planning a post on this soon, so watch for it! :)

    Hi Robin,

Thanks for your response and Happy 4th of July! :)

Today is my 5th day with the Real Purity. I want to say it is not too bad at all. I don’t stink like a skunk after my zumba classes or my walks. It’s just a very mild smell which I don’t think other next to me smelled it!

Detox the liver?? I can’t wait to read the post. Does taking milk thistle help with the detox?

  • Natural Organics

    Hi Dawn,

Glad to hear the Real Purity deodorant is working better!

Yes, milk thistle is used as a detoxification tool for the liver, but I think it’s not something to be taken on a regular basis. What I have in mind to detox the liver can be done on a continuous basis. :)

My boyfriend is my go to guy for letting me know if I stink too! In fact, one of my most embarrassing moments was when we were in a truck together and he plainly told me my deodorant wasn’t working (this was when I had taken a break from the Real Purity.) Needless to say, I trashed the one I was trying and went back to RP! :)
