Advantages of Goat Milk: It Does a Body Good

advantages of goat milk

When you learn about the benefits of goat milk, she may be your new best friend!

What are the advantages of goat milk? You may be surprised at the answer!  I recently got into making this fabulous raw goat milk smoothie after I work out. It’s packed with protein and gives me tons of energy after a strength training session. Don’t worry, I’ll give you the recipe a bit later. I prefer raw to pasteurized as the pasteurization process removes many enzymes and nutrients your body needs. Read on for the benefits…

Goat milk (or “G” milk as it’s fondly called around my house) has incredible benefits for your body both inside and out. It contains vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, trace elements, enzymes, protein, and fatty acids that are easily used by the body. Unlike cow milk, goat milk is easily digested, even for people who are lactose intolerant! It does not suppress the immune system or cause mucus and alkalinizes the body. For those of you who don’t know, disease cannot exist in an alkaline state. Goat milk provides the body with selenium, an essential nutrient associated with immune function and antioxidant properties. It’s components are also closely related to that of mother’s milk. Goat milk is actually better than antacids at treating ulcers due to its buffering ability.

If you are into natural beauty products, I am sure you have seen countless products with goat milk as a major ingredient. Goat milk soaps, lotions, and creams nourish, exfoliate, and revitalize skin. The lactic acid and milk proteins in goat milk can smooth skin and provides vitamins A and D, which strengthens skin and makes it more supple. Goat milk soap is a wonderful product as the PH of goat milk closely matches that of our skin. Check out the video for a concise summary of why goat milk does a body good.

Since I have been drinking my special goat milk shake, my skin is clear and glowing! Want to give it a try for yourself? Here’s the recipe:

2 cups raw goat milk (in many states, it’s against the law to sell raw goat milk, but visit here to find some sold for “pet” consumption: realmilk.com)
2 raw organic eggs
1 Tablespoon raw honey

Blend in a blender and enjoy! It tastes delicious!

Anthony Bova of spartanhealth.com created this fantastic recipe.
